Fishing Season Begins

I've been looking forward to fishing season for a while. It began last weekend. The 24 Weekend! My, oh my, it was cold! Our Winter Parkas came out of storage for the occasion. Also making an appearance were swallows, swooping down and skimming the lake surface for BUGS. Yes, in spite of the cold, there were plenty BUGS for all. The BUGS were BITING, but the FISH were NOT! I might have had a NIBBLE but then again it could just have been lake bottom. Burrrrr!

We weren't the only boat on the Water. These fellows were trying their luck, too. They don't look any warmer and their luck was as good as ours. NOT!

However, fishing got better! This Friday Night we tried again. The weather was warmer and the BUGS (oops, I mean FISH) were BITING! Dan - 3 Pickeral, Cathy - 2 Pickeral, Frank - 0 and Kathleen -0. But who's counting? (That would be Dan.) No Pics, so you'll have to take my word for it...

Guess who lost her favourite fishing rod overboard? How embarrasing...
