Thursday March 6
No event can run smoothly unless you have a meeting of the organizers. So the Campbell girls got together tonight at Barb's to make sure "we were all on the same page" so to speak. Everyone will have a job or two ensuring the Party goes off without a hitch.
And of course, no meeting of the Campbell girls takes place without at least ONE very large bowl of potatoe chips. (This was the second of the evening.) Tradition, you know...
And then the traditional refreshment. Tonight the Blacks were serving a tasty Merlot, produced in their own winery in the basement. (Made especially for the Birthday Party on Saturday. Needless to say, it met with everyone's approval!Barb pouring one for Janet. Doesn't Janet look delighted!
This is sister, Anne. She had arrived in a cranky mood but I think the Merlot has worked its Magic. (If she sees this I might not make it home - however, what's life without taking a few risks?)
This is LIZ - the sister who hates to get her picture taken. Merlot had worked its Magic here, too. Mellow....

This is Maggie! She wants me to play. When I would come to the Black's for a visit, we always played. Unfortunately for Maggie, she hurt her paw the other day and we were under orders to keep our enthusiasm to a minimum.
Stay tuned for Friday...

Nice picks Cathy, even of me, the cranky one that night. I believe WE ALL had our moments. It was a pleasure to have you home for the week. Nice pictures Frank.
