Although it doesn't look damaged here, this yellow birch received some structural damage at the top from the wind the other day and was in danger, if it came down, of striking the A-Frame. So, it had to go. But it had lots of salvageable wood that we will enjoy later in the winter.

Here lies some of the mighty yellow birch...Gosh it doesn't look like much, does it? It helps to know that there are 3 rows stacked...you can't see them all...time to fire the photographer!
