The road is still not ready for the Old Goat (The Ram). The snow is all but vanished but the rain we've had in the past few days has filled the ruts and puddles, so in some places the road is a quagmire. It will take some hot, sunny days in a row to dry it out.
Yesterday these empty propane tanks were dragged to the dock and while they waited to be loaded onto the boat - they kept the dock anchored in the "high seas". (Last year the wind and boat moved the dock quite a bit.) Today is windier than yesterday! It was a bumpy ride.
Off to town we went this morning, leaving here at 9 ish (back before 2 and that might be a record). A whirl wind dash about town. Hitting all the high spots. Canadian Tire x's 2, The Rez, TD Bank, LCBO, Zellers, Pet Store, Max's, No Frills and M&M's. Whew. And that was the easy part. Jerry Cans (3) and 100 lb propane tanks are heavy! (So are the Groceries...) Getting them from the Truck at the Kelly's, to the boat and across the lake...and up the hill from the dock - We're pooped!
Have you noted the price of GAS? What are you paying for gas in your neighbourhood? (1.22.9) I was talking to my sister Liz (who lives in Halifax) yesterday and she paid 1.33 for regular the day before.
Margaret, I was glad to read that your bread turns out that way, too, sometimes. Frank says I need lessons...
Linda arrives tomorrow! Getting her house up and running will keep us busy for a while and then we can catch up on news! Meet her new dog...
Well, that's it. I'm tired, hungry and it's 5:30 - time to get supper started...

Waves "crashing up" on the beach...
